What do you need for your Well-being Abroad?

Traveling and living in another culture tends to bring a mix of exciting and challenging experiences. Navigating life outside your home country can induce surprising new feelings and stir up forgotten or buried ones, testing your resourcefulness and resilience. Your journey can provide you with both stimulating and thought-provoking insights about your values and life purpose. You may want help figuring out how to cultivate new friendships and create a support system in a new environment, or how to cope with loneliness, fear of missing out, or anxiety that can be triggered by new surroundings or being outside your familiar comfort zone. Changes caused by a long-distance relationship, falling in love while traveling, going abroad with your partner or children, or being in a cross-cultural relationship, can require new ways of thinking and a need for boundary shifts.

I’ve been living abroad since my mid-twenties, giving me a unique understanding of the trials and tribulations of an international life, and the people who seek it out. I know first-hand about cross-cultural marriage and raising a third culture kid. I’ve grappled with work in a foreign culture, and felt the freedom and vulnerability of traveling alone. I understand the call to experience other cultures and the self-reflection that it can elicit. The combination of my personal experience and professional training enable me to provide effective support to a global community.

Whether you’re abroad for business, as a student, with a partner, your family, or traveling on your own, taking a short break, settled in a foreign country, or moving from place to place, I can help you explore your feelings, consider your options, find creative solutions, and develop strategies for cultivating a life that’s tailored to fit you.
